A Few Easy Steps to Hitting a Golf Ball Straight.

There are only TWO ways a Golf ball cannot go straight to your target when hitting the ball. The first is the path your club travels as it is striking the ball (Outside to in means that the ball will go to the left or pull). The second is the club face angle at impact relative to the path the club is traveling (Open club face at impact relative to path means that your ball will CURVE to the right). So ALL you have to do is have your club on the correct path and have your face angle square at impact. And here are a few more suggestions below.

1 Stand behind your ball on the tee and pick out a 10- to 15-yard landing area, then picture an imaginary line from that spot back to your ball. 2 As you address the ball, focus on an intermediate target a few feet in front of you. Align your ball square to that point, and don't worry about hazards, distant mountains or anything else. 3 Right before you pull the trigger, take one last look at your landing area. Take a cue from the Tour players, who by this point are only thinking about getting their ball to that spot. 4 Make a confident swing, knowing that you've done what it takes to line up the shot. Practice this on the range, and you'll be ready to conquer any intimidating visual tricks.
